Covington, La. – Oct. 10, 2010 – Evamor Natural Artesian Water, newly introduced in grocery retailers throughout the Houston area, is teaming up with the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center this fall to encourage outdoor fun for families. The partnership, which includes water donations to the Arboretum convenience shop and all events, encourages enjoyment of the natural world in an active way.

“Inspiring happy, healthy families is one our main goals,” said Bo Reily, president of Evamor. “Evamor is all about living an active lifestyle, and our water is a great start, but the Arboretum actually gives Houstonians a great place to bring families.”
Boasting an alkalinity level 140 times higher than other bottled waters, Evamor quenches more than just thirst; it also helps to neutralize excess acid in the body, caused by foods found in the typical American diet (processed foods). A couple of smooth, refreshing servings of Evamor a day are a great source of alkalinity. Increased dietary alkalinity is known to help reduce body fat and fatigue, protect bones and support the immune system, leading to better overall wellness.

“Evamor is the perfect complement to our duty of educating Houstonians about their natural environment,” said Debbie Markey, executive director of the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center. “The water is different – it actually makes you feel good, tastes great and is loved by all our visitors.”

Located on 155 acres of the western edge of Memorial Park, the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. One of the Arboretum’s biggest events, known as ArBOOretum, is coming up on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will include a spooky forest trail with scattered trick or treat locations. Stops on the trail will incorporate opportunities for children to learn about nocturnal forest animals and the event will feature hayrides, train rides, pumpkin decorating and face painting. Available to all families in attendance, Evamor will also provide complimentary water bottles at the event, offering a cool, refreshing break from the Houston heat and day’s activities.

Evamor water is newly available at Kroger grocery stores throughout Houston as a preferred retailer. Also recently available, home and office delivery is now accessible and provided by Sparklettes of Houston.
