Alkaline Diet and Weight Loss

Obesity is a serious problem in the United States. USA Today reports that the trend appears to be slowing down, but the high percentage of obese individuals is still a concern. Having a diet rich in alkaline foods and low in acidic foods includes consuming whole and unprocessed foods and reducing higher sugar and fatty foods. An alkaline-rich diet will consist of fewer calories than an acid-rich diet. Alkaline diets will allow your body to burn off much of what is consumed and make your weight-loss goals easier to achieve, according Dr. Robert O. Young, author of “The pH Miracle.”
