Acid Alkaline Diet
August 15, 2010
The acid alkaline diet calls for eating mostly alkaline-forming foods such as vegetables and only small amounts of acid-producing foods such as meat. Supposedly this makes your blood more alkaline and helps to fend off diseases such as cancer and osteoporosis. There’s little scientific evidence to back those theories, but the acid alkaline diet does follow widely recommended guidelines in its emphasis on eating less meat, fat and refined carbohydrates and more vegetables and fruits.
